Rise supports sending notifications from our desktop app. With Notifications enabled Rise will send you a notification 5 min before the meeting starts and when the meeting starts. You can instantly join a meeting by clicking the notification.

To prevent notifications disappearing after a few seconds on your Mac you need to go into your Mac’s system preferences → Notifications → Rise → and change the notification type to Alerts.
