How to connect Slack with Rise

After authenticating in the rise app on https://beta.risecalendar.com/, go to Settings → Slack → Authorize to authorize your Rise account with your Slack workspace

Rise needs permission to access your user information and create messages. We care deeply about your privacy and only ask you to give access to the data we need to provide the necessary functionality.

Following Bot Scopes are required:

  • commands
  • chat:write
  • chat:write.public

When you successfully connect Rise with Slack, you will be able to create tasks from the shortcut menu in Slack.

How to create Rise tasks from Slack

As you open the Create new task… shortcut you will be presented a form to fill in all the necessary task details.

After submitting the form, the task will be created and you will receive a success message in the thread of the slack message.

After completing the task in Rise, we will also publish a bot message to the thread of the slack message.
